The Famiglia Pasqua Cascina San Vincenzo label has been selected by wine educator Filippo Bartolotta in his investigation on new trends related to the king of Valpolicella, as part of the masterclass anticipating the two-day tasting event.

Pasqua Wines participates in Amarone Opera Prima as winner of the Wine Enthusiast award, “Innovator of the Year 2023”.

The winery’s protagonist, in the lead up to the event, is Famiglia Pasqua with Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Cascina San Vincenzo 2018. In fact, the label was chosen by the wine educator Filippo Bartolotta for the masterclass – reserved for the national and foreign trade press – “AMARONE: THE NEW WAVE” in advance of the opening of the two-day tasting event held Friday, 2 February at 2.00 pm, at Palazzo della Gran Guardia.

A selection of vintages from different wineries in the area: alongside the story of the evolution of Amarone production, the aptitude of one of the most famous Italian fine wines in the world to become an investment asset for collectors is also highlighted.

At the centre of the reflection by Filippo Bartolotta is the analysis of the new trend that, through music, art and culture, identifies a new, more vertical and less opulent style and features Amarone wines that are fresher and with lower alcohol content. An elegant wine with memorable structure, balance and velvety tannins with a marked softness as well as fresh acidity, Famiglia Pasqua Cascina San Vincenzo 2018 was considered the most interesting representative of the winery, with a project that codifies the potential of the territory through the use of organic farming and that has obtained the Tre Bicchieri from the 2024 Vini d’Italia Guide by Gambero Rosso and the Wine Hunter Rosso from Wine Hunter.

“We are proud to have been selected among the interpreters of a new trend,” comments Riccardo Pasqua, CEO of Pasqua Wines. “We are gratified once again, in the wake of the “Innovator of the Year” award being given to us by Wine Enthusiast, that, in our brand, innovation is recognized as the value that guides our oenological projects. With the Famiglia Pasqua Cascina San Vincenzo label we bring our own interpretation of Amarone, the result of a high hill viticulture considered almost visionary ten years ago, but strategic given the progressive rise in temperatures.”

At the tasting counter in Gran Guardia on 3 and 4 February, Pasqua Wines to the press and public the preview of Famiglia Pasqua Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2019, which succeeds the 2018 vintage – awarded with 92 points by James Suckling.
